Current Justice Selection Advisory Board Member Ramon Mullerat A practicing lawyer in Spain, Ramón Mullerat is an Avocat à la Cour de Paris, an honorary member of the Law Society of England and Wales, an honorary member of the Bar of England and Wales, as well as a member of the London Court of International Arbitration. He is a former law professor at Barcelona University and an adjunct professor of the John Marshall Law School, Chicago. He currently serves as president of the Association for the Promotion of Arbitration (AFA) and as director of the International Master of Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia. Affiliated with numerous national and international legal organizations, Mullerat formerly served as president of the Council of the Bars and Law Societies of the European Union (CCBE) and as co-chair of the Human Rights Institute of the International Bar Association (IBA), and made significant contributions to the revision of the Code of Ethics at both organizations. In addition, he is a former co-chair of the Commission of Corporate Social Responsibility and currently holds membership to the Council of Justice of Catalonia and the Club Español del Arbitraje. He is the author of La Cuarta Trebeliónica, Corporate Social Responsibility: the Corporate Governance of the 21st Century (editor), En Buena Compañua: Responsabilidad Social de la empresa, and International Corporate Social Responsibility: the Role of Corporations in the Economic Order of the 21st Century, and has written many articles on commercial law, international law, professional ethics, business ethics, international arbitration and corporate social responsibility.
