Trustee Advisory Board Hon. Claire Dubé Claire Dubé is the Judge in Residence on the law faculty of Laval University in Quebec City, a position she has held since 2002. After receiving both her undergraduate and law degrees from Laval University and practicing law for two decades, she became the first female judge in Superior Court for Quebec District (1973-79), in the Quebec Court of Appeals (1979-87), and in the Supreme Court of Canada (1987-2002). Judge Dubé currently provides pro bono judicial education on human rights equality issues, with emphasis on women's rights, for human rights nongovernmental organizations, particularly in South Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. She has been named a member of the Order of Canada and Ordre du Mérite du Québec. Judge Dubé has been on the Trustee Advisory Board since 2007.
